Computing is an integral part of every day life at Holme Community School. We aim to provide our children with the skills, creativity and enthusiasm to live and thrive in a world increasingly dependent on technology. Children will learn to use the Internet in a safe and respectful way and use technology to become independent learners. As technology develops, so does our teaching. Children will learn the skills of coding, and understand how technology works in a practical and hands on way.
How was our computing curriculum developed?
Our curriculum is based on the national curriculum and the KAPOW scheme of work, complemented by online safety education. The curriculum is enhanced by resources from project evolve 'education in a connected way' and Lego education. You can learn about the computing national curriculum here.
